PLYWOOD
In this era of rapid globalization there is an ever increasing demand of wood and wood based products. But this demand is posing to be a threat on our ecology and in turn increases our concern for forest conservation. We are committed in conserving forests by promoting usage of plywood and allied products, as it has been established that one unit of solid timber is equal to two unit volumes of plywood. Today plywood and associated products is manufactured by using a mix of cultivation and natural timber, which again adds to conservation.
Plywood is a manufactured wood panel made from thin sheets of wood veneer. It is one of the most widely used wood products. It is flexible, inexpensive, workable, re-usable, and can usually be locally manufactured. Plywood is used instead of plain wood because of its resistance to cracking, shrinkage, splitting, and twisting/warping, and its general high degree of strength.
